Press release

The section "Cybernetic AI in Economics", held on October 01, 2025, as part of the International Online Scientific and Practical Conference "Generative Artificial Intelligence in Economic and Social Sectors: PRO&CONTRA 2025", became more than just a platform for exchanging scientific opinions on the use of artificial intelligence in public economic management. The work of the section and its participants demonstrated practical solutions and recommendations for improving the public administration system using economic cybernetics as the core of the future artificial intelligence.
In her opening remarks, the moderator of the section, Professor Elena Veduta, noted the inevitability of the transition to scientific, cybernetic economic management for the development and peaceful prosperity of mankind, as opposed to the current use of digital technologies aimed at controlling people.
A whole block of reports is devoted to the need to create a new State Planning Committee using the latest achievements in the field of IT. The reports presented artificial intelligence models for government planning, their place and role in business processes and management decisions at different levels and in different industries.
Digitalization of economic management is an actively developing trend in Russia and around the world. The speakers noted the advantages of this area, including government digital platforms, while focusing on goal setting when using artificial intelligence systems: technologies should not exist for their own sake, they should serve to improve people's lives and increase labor productivity.
The topic of possible threats in the use of artificial intelligence has become central to the discussion of the reports: these are the risks of cognitive degeneration, the consequences of excessive fascination with predictive and generative models instead of intellectual and creative human development.
The participants of the section also paid attention to digital twins, without which it is impossible today to imagine the management of complex systems using artificial intelligence. It was noted that the needs of public administration require a new approach to their structure, volume and content of data, as well as to the methods of their processing.
The variety of solutions and concepts proposed by the participants for the use of artificial intelligence in economic and public administration sectors has become a distinctive feature of the section. Nevertheless, the speakers came to the conclusion that such artificial intelligence should be based on a cybernetic, scientific core as a guarantee of the humane development of mankind in the interests of all people.
