Section Overview
Modern technologies and the national strategy for the development of artificial intelligence require a rethinking of traditional educational approaches, the formation of new competencies, methodologies, and technologies in line with the era of digital transformation in education, the economy, and society. In today’s educational landscape, digital tools play an essential role and are a necessary component of professional activity.
The use of generative AI technologies provides additional opportunities to increase access to education and create equal conditions for all categories of learners.
At the same time, the implementation of generative AI in education raises a number of debatable questions, risks, and challenges, which will be discussed in two consecutive sessions of the section: the Strategic Session "Generative AI in Education: Strategies and Methodological Approaches" and the Round Table "Generative Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Improving the Quality of Education and Training for the Innovative Economy: Russian and International Experience".
To define methodological approaches, strategic guidelines, roles, conditions, and opportunities for the use of generative AI technologies in education and in the teaching and learning processes of general, secondary vocational, higher, and continuing education systems.
Discussion
Part 1: Strategic Session "Generative AI in Education: Strategies and Methodological Approaches"
Time: 11:00 AM — 1:00 PM
Representatives of the academic community, partner institutions in the fields of education and innovation, scientists, educators, young researchers, and experts will discuss current trends and approaches in developing strategies and models for applying generative AI technologies in the lifelong learning system. Scholars and practitioners will present project concepts, methodologies, and technologies aimed at implementing the value foundations of Russian education through generative AI across various subject areas and educational activities
The session will also address interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder approaches to using generative AI technologies in the development of digital innovative products that enhance the quality of education.
Goal of the Session: To identify and justify principles, approaches, strategies, design models, and methodologies for using generative AI technologies in the continuous education system.
Part 2: Round Table "Generative Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Improving the Quality of Education and Training for the Innovative Economy: Russian and International Experience"
Time: 2:00 PM — 4:00 PM
Participants will discuss the use of domestic digital generative AI tools in education, sharing practical and ethical examples of their application in real educational settings across all levels. Topics will include the challenges of integrating AI technologies into the educational system and specific methods for effectively incorporating AI elements into the teaching processes of both general and higher education.
Presentations will highlight new models and methods for applying AI in the pursuit of personalized and individualized higher education. Participants will also share insights into how generative AI and neural networks can ease teachers' workloads and reduce bureaucratic burdens in education.
Goal of the Round Table: To exchange innovative experiences and showcase how generative AI technologies are being used in higher, general, and continuing education systems.
