Press release

Section 5: 12 people made a presentation, three of them remotely. There were 2 people from FSU (Petrunin Yu.Y. and the applicant Nuralieva N.Z.). There were about 30 participants. The most heated discussion broke out on the issue of the goals and possibilities of developing GII. Some participants in the discussion were of the opinion that GII serves to govern the state and society and destroys human intelligence, while others emphasized the positive results of GII and proposed methods to optimize the consequences of GII.

The second session of the Ethics and Values of Generative Artificial Intelligence section was held, like the first, at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
11 speakers spoke, and a total of 25 people took part.
Ethical issues related to the phenomenon of "tanabots" - digital doppelgangers of deceased people - became the subject of a lively discussion. Some participants considered promising the model proposed by the speaker for describing a person as an environment within which a new type of technical entity is formed, while others defended classical ideas about human subjectivity. The question was raised about the need to take into account the peculiarities of different cultures that influence attitudes towards the idea and practice of producing and using digital doubles, as well as the human right to prohibit the creation of a digital double after one's own death.
